Hon. Eng. Mark O. Nyamita, MP Uriri Constituency and Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Network on Population and Development (PNPD) pays a Courtesy call at the NCPD offices at Chancery Building on 17th July, 2018

It was an honour for the NCPD when Hon. Nyamita who is the Vice Chair of the Parliamentary Network on Population and Development (PNPD) paid a Courtesy call to the NCPD offices on Tuesday, 17th July, 2018.  The Honorable Member was received by the Director Technical Services (DTS), Mr. Peter Nyakwara and Director Corporate Services (DCS), Mrs. Margaret Mwangi.

The PNPD Network was re-established on 14th June, 2018 and it draws its Membership from Health, Budget & Appropriation and Finance and Planning Committees in the 12th Parliament..

Hon. Nyamita noted that there is need for the Parliamentary Caucus to be active and impact on the lives of Kenyans positively. The immediate action points for the Council to do as soon as possible were;

  1. Draw a Programme of activities and share with the office bearers
  2. Create a WhatsApp group with the Network members for timely information dissemination

The NCPD plans to have a retreat with the Network members where the members would be brought on board on population and developing issues in Kenya. The dates for the retreat would be communicated by Hon. Nyamita once he consults with the Chair of PNPD Hon. Jimmy Angwenyi.
