The National Council for Population and Development (NCPD) staff have been sensitized on HIV/ AIDS at the workplace. Dr. Theresa Omwoyo of the National Aids Control Council (NACC) reiterated that though new infections had stabilized at 44,800 among adults and 800 children dropping from 100,00 annually, more effort was still required to further drop new infections.

She advised patients discriminated against at their work places to seek redress from the HIV Tribunal on 15th floor NHIF building adding that over 28,500 HIV related deaths were still being registered annually. The session was attended by NCPD Director General Dr. Josephine Kibaru- Mbae and other NCPD senior staff. The sensitization program was spearheaded by the Human Resource department.
