The UNFPA in partnership with Polycom Development Project Kibera organise a commemorative event at Springs of Life Lutheran Church, Kibera today Friday 19th October 2018.

This day is to advocate for issues of the girl child, facilitate support and empowerment to 2,000 young girls/adolescent girls, and also celebrate successful interventions that have continued to make a tangible difference.

Guests in attendance were;

  • Josephine Kibaru-Mbae, Director General, NCPD;
  • Rahab Muiu, Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organization Chairperson

The DG NCPD, Dr. J. K-Mbae, congratulated the “President“ of St. Juliet Academy, Juliet Achieng who gave a presentation on the challenges faced by the girl child.
