United States Agency for International Development (USAID) partners with NCPD in areas of Healthcare and Gender issues. USAID has partnered with NCPD, Ministry of Health and other stakeholders in carrying out surveys whose findings have contributed to the wellbeing of Kenyans. These surveys include the Demographic Surveys, Service Provision Assessment among others.
United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) partners with the Kenya Government in addressing population and health issues that affect the population. These issues include: Ensuring every pregnancy is wanted, supporting maternal health, helping young people fulfill their potential. UNFPA and NCPD implement a series of projects in agreed Country Programmes. The current one is the 8th.
Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) support to Kenya is primarily focused on
- Economic Infrastructure and Private Sector Development,
- Environment and Water,
- Human Resource Development, and
- Health. JICA support to NCPD has been by funding projects that aim at improving the health status of Kenya.
The Department for International Development (DFID) partners with Kenya by supporting programs and projects that aim at improving the health and general wellbeing of Kenyans.
Population Reference Bureau (PRB) partners with NCPD in the development of communication tools, data sets and training used in informing policymakers for decision making. The technical collaboration is credited for outcomes that have contributed to impact on key demographic and health indicators
The World Bank
The World Bank Group aims at achieving two goals for the world by 2030: Ending extreme poverty by decreasing the percentage of people living on less than $1.90 a day to no more than 3% and promote shared prosperity by fostering the income growth of the bottom 40% for every country.
The World Bank is a vital source of financial and technical assistance to developing countries around the world and Kenya is a beneficiary of this assistance. NCPD has a history of working with the bank on issues of population management such as family planning.
