The field data collection for the 2018 Kenya Service Delivery Indicators & Health Facility Assessment survey will be concluded in July 2018 after three and a half months of data collection from 3,280 health facilities. The objective of the survey is to assess the preparedness of health facilities in the country to provide quality health care services to the public. Other aspects being assessed by the survey are receipt and expenditure of public funds by health facilities and client perception of family planning services. The data collection exercise was conducted against a backdrop of rainy weather conditions and poor state of roads in many parts of the country. Findings of the survey are expected to be launched by October 2018. These findings will be used to guide the formulation and implementation of health policies and programmes at both national and county levels.
